Open Positions 2010

The filing period for East Kingston town officers will begin Wednesday, January 20, 2010 through Friday, January 29, 2010.  A candidate must be a registered voter.

The following is a list of elected positions open for the upcoming town election to be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010.

Selectman – 1 (3 yr. term ending 2013)

Moderator – 1 (2 yr. term ending 2012)

Town Clerk/Tax Collector – 1 (3 yr. term ending 2013)

Treasurer – 1 (3 yr. term ending 2013)

Road Agent – 1 (1 yr. term ending 2011)

Supervisor of the Checklist – 1 (6 yr. term ending 2016)

Trustee of the Cemetery – 1 (3 yr. term ending 2013)

Trustee of the Trust Fund – 1 (3 yr. term ending 2013)

Trustee of the Public Library –1 (3 yr. terms ending 2013)

Those interested in filing may do so at the Town Clerk’s office.  Office hours are:  Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri 8:00-2:30pm, Mon (eve) 6-8pm, and the office is closed on Wednesdays.  Please note that the office will be open Friday, January 29, 2010 between the hours of 3-5pm for any candidate interested in filing.
